At 11.00 pm last night, a full circulation was no longer identified for Tropical Storm ‘Don’. For such, a tropical storm warning is no longer in effect for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The system has degenerated to a trough of low pressure. Radar imagery has shown a significant decrease in shower activity across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Occasional gusty winds, cloudy to overcast skies and light to moderate showers are still possible. Yesterday, the Argyle International Airport (AIA) was forced to close it's doors, and all flights to the islands were cancelled. The airport was closed at 3pm yesterday, Tuesday July 18, as Tropical Storm Don was expected. At 7 AM this morning, the AIA resumed operations, with the domestic flights fully operational, while regional flights experienced some delays. LIAT the Caribbean Airlines added flights to their list for the day; to accommodate passengers there were stranded on the island due to the passing of the Storm. JSR Communications this morning received the update that 2 extra flight were added to Barbados before 1 pm. The Saint Vincent & the Grenadines Meteorological Office is advising that Residents and Motorist are still advised to be vigilant, and a small craft warning is in effect for above normal sea swells.
