There are so many things that call for thorough checking and asking around. The idea of just looking at the vehicle and a second before you know it you would have already clicked that button is long gone. But of course, there are exceptional circumstances of having had dealt with them before and experience also plays a key role. However, the most important thing that one has to do first thing first is to check the reliability of the car dealer that is offering that unit to you. Most of the people have lost huge sums of money due to lack of security precautions on their part. The existence of online car dealers has also created opportunities for fraudsters to take advantage of individuals who are unaware of certain procedures to swindle them of cash. 1. Background ResearchTherefore whenever you intend to buy a car online do some background research online and check whether a lot of people are actually buying from them, if they do then know that you are in good hands and your unit should safely reach your destination. The other issue that you can look at is the address of the company and banking details for the same. If someone is telling you to deposit funds into another company or individual account, the best you can do for yourself is to take off and abandon everything, as that is a clear indication of fraud. Most instances people who intend to swindle you of cash do not really want to disclose personal and physical address, as they fear of being traced and arrested. 2. Interior/exterior featuresApart from that the location and state of condition of the unit is also another area of concern. Always check the interior and exterior of the unit before you buy it, as that is very important. It’s not uncommon to see only one photo displayed on the unit with the rest of them not fully displayed. Always ask for more pictures if that is the case and thoroughly go through them to check if there are any dents, scratches on the exterior or damages to the interior. Some vehicles come without any radios, CD drive, speakers, spare tyre, fire extinguisher, etc., so be sure to check that out. 3. Vehicle SpecificationsThis is very much important in the sense that whenever you are about to purchase a unit always check out the specifications table as that can really tell you a lot about the unit that you are considering to buy. Buying a car just for the sake of owning one can really put you in unnecessary pressure as the specifications table clearly highlights certain things such as the engine capacity of the unit, engine number, chassis number, engine capacity, etc. These are very important as they are very much needed in car registration and also tell you something about the consumption rate of the vehicle. If your eyesight is really that good then you can also compare the actual photos of the engine with the chassis number, engine number on the specification table. 4. Condition of TyresThese are really necessary and as a safety precaution always get a unit that has neat and good tyres as that can really help you to save a bit considering the fact that you would have spent a lot when importing the same in your country. Good tyres should have enough grips and should not have cracks either on the sides or in between grip lines. 5. Suspension/springs of the unitThough it’s pretty hard to see how well the suspension and springs of the vehicles are, a good photo taken by a professional should be able to clearly show a third of these and at least highlight the state of condition of these. However, certain car dealers also do make mention of any certain replacements and changes that they might have carried out prior to being put up for sale. So do ask for some additional information on any changes to parts. Lastly, another thing that one can check out is the list of extra features that are always indicated on the main display for the unit. These can also be compared with the actual photos just to ensure that what is mentioned is also appearing in the photos. Basically the main reasons and points that I have put up should be able to help and guide but it must be stated here that whenever you are looking at a unit always ask whatever question that might pop up in your mind as at the end of it all the one who would get to drive the unit is yourself so feel free to ask any questions. Written by Mutimba Musonda Zambia. The government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has awarded a contract to OB Sadoo Engineering Services Ltd. of St. Lucia for the construction of a new bridge over the South River at Middle Street, Kingstown. The construction of the South River Bridge will be executed under Component 1 of the World Bank funded Regional Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project, which is implementing interventions aimed at reducing the risks of flooding to the public. The contract, worth some XCD 1.7 million, represents the lowest qualifying tender received. The existing structure is an old stone arch bridge, whose structural integrity has been compromised by age, floods, increased vehicular weight, and the impact of roots from a nearby tree. The relatively small opening of the old bridge has contributed significantly in recent times to flooding in the area. The works will include the demolition of the old bridge, the construction of abutments to accommodate future channel widening, and the erection of a reinforced concrete slab. The new bridge will be approximately 18 inches higher and has been designed to withstand expected increases in flooding due to climate change events. The replacement of the bridge forms part of government’s efforts to improve national resilience to natural hazards and longer-term impacts resulting from climate change. The works will commence substantively on January 9, 2017 and is expected to last six months. Would you live to get rid of those roaches and avoid commercial and dangerous toxins? Now, JSR Communications is sharing some information on how you can get rid of those annoying roaches! We've tested it. It works! Our team actually went around garbage bins and... yeah, not saying anything else. We found the information healthy holistic living website and had a go at it. The information here isn't ours, but we thought you would like to try it too. So, roaches... They are probably the only dinasours left... alive any way. You may discover them anywhere in the world as their adaptability is extremely established. They are among the most resistant types in the world as they support high levels of radiation and can even live without food for more than a month at a time. These insects are omnivores, eating both plant-based and animal-based foods. For these reasons we can find cockroaches everywhere, feeding upon almost anything they find. Cockroaches leave chemical trace markers in their droppings. With this method, others can easily find sources of water or food. This is a leading method of communication between them which one main reason why they can quickly infest an area. Remarkable, I know… However, we will help you to get rid of these nasty bugs at last! If you want to get rid of cockroaches that are in your home, we advise that you try this trick which is very efficient. This is a good option if you have kids or family pets, because you will avoid commercial and dangerous toxins. If you are going to do this in your home tho... (yes I used short hand. Everybody's doing it. any ways...) you will have leaves to clean up ever so often. Bay leaves are the very best natural cockroach repellent. This herb can’t eliminate them, however it does drives them away quickly since the smell is unbearable for the cockroach. Place laurel branches in every corner of the house. Place 10 bay leaves in the garden or in the kitchen area and you will never ever see cockroaches strolling around. They are perfect for areas where food is stored such as the kitchen or pantry since they are safe and non-toxic. Likewise, we recommend putting bay leaves in your garden especially if you have a pet. This way you will eliminate cockroaches without worrying about your kids or animals security. You can use fresh bay leaves or dry. But the best way to use these leaves is to crush dry leaves and make a powder. They create a much stronger smell used by doing this. Share this post with your good friends and relatives and assist them to rid of cockroaches at last! Beyonce Is Being Sued For “Drunk In Love”! Dwayne Walker, the man who claims he designed the original Roc-A-Fella logo, has filed a lawsuit against Beyonce for the use of his design in her 2013 video with Jay Z, “Drunk In Love.” According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Walker says he owns the rights to the Roc logo and did not give permission of its use in Bey’s video. Although the logo only seems to show up once on Jay Z’s pendant, Walker believes he deserves a pay cut for its unauthorized appearance in the steamy black and white clip. TMZ reports that although Jay-Z is the one wearning the chain, the rapper’s name was not mentioned in the suit. Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time Walker has tried to make a buck off of his logo design. In 2012, Walker sued Jay Z and Dame Dash for $7 million, accusing the former business partners of copyright infringement. Luckily for Jay and Dame, a judge threw the case out, ruling that a contract that Walker reportedly signed 20 years prior, prohibited him from collecting any royalties for the logo’s use. He may have lost the war, but it looks like he’s hoping not to strike out with the new lawsuit. While Beyonce’s scored a number of great honors in 2016, she’s also had her fair share of legal battles. Following the release of her visual album, Lemonade, filmmaker Matthew Fulks accused the singer of lifting elements of her video from his short film Palinoia. But the case was dismissed after a judge realized the two works had nothing to do with each other. It’s likely that Walker’s recent lawsuit will reach a similar fate, since the court turned a blind eye to his last case concerning the logo in the past. But who knows, maybe second time’s a charm. What a smile there would be as our heavenly father blows upon this sweet melody! While there are a majority of persons celebrating the heroism of others in helping those affected by trough system that affected SVG between November 28 and 29th, some persons still have a ZERO response to the real message. On Sunday 4th December, a team of persons made the trip over the Dry River to make donations to the people who were affected by the recent floods. Esworth “Ezzie” Roberts of Coreas was a part of the team. Yesterday however, as Ezzie tried to express disappointment in the lack of aid for the private sector, he felt the need to take to facebook to complete his statements after being “cut off the air. Mr. Roberts said that “FAME and POPULARITY was never an issue. All of the individuals involved are persons who are already well known for their contributions in various fields and through various organisations and events.” He also added that “We will not allow these persons with their “GRAB and GO” mentality to detract us” Featuring Positive, Local Artiste: Jason Providence, Stacy Little, Chad and Crystal Greaves and more comes the gospel concert, Stand and be counted at the Russell's Auditorium, December 10, 2016. Additionally, Ms. Vanloo explained that the HIV and AIDS Secretariat hope to put measures in place for persons who knowingly spread the disease. 9% RISE IN HIV INFECTIONSA new report by UNAIDS reveals concerning trends in new HIV infections among adults. The Prevention gap report shows that while significant progress is being made in stopping new HIV infections among children (new HIV infections have declined by more than 70% among children since 2001 and are continuing to decline), the decline in new HIV infections among adults has stalled.
The Prevention gap report shows that an estimated 1.9 million adults have become infected with HIV every year for at least the past five years and that new HIV infections among adults are rising in some regions. The Prevention gap report gives the clear message that HIV prevention efforts need to be increased in order to stay on the Fast-Track to ending AIDS by 2030.
The AIDS epidemic has had a huge impact over the past 35 years. Since the start of the epidemic, 35 million people have died from AIDS-related illnesses and an estimated 78 million people have become infected with HIV. 1.2% OF THE POPULATION IS HIV POSITIVE A total of 1.2 percent of this nation’s adult population is reported to be HIV positive. This according to information received from Epidemiologist, Tamara Bobb. Bobb while speaking at a ceremony last Thursday where the Ministry of health, Wellness and the Environment launched activities for World AIDS Day indicated that they will continue to work to lower this number over the next five years. Reports have indicated that currently 1.2 percent of the adult population that is the 15-49 year age group, or 0.7 percent of the total population is HIV positive. Bobb has been quoted as saying that the draft national health sector strategic plan crafted to guide the activities of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment over the next five years outlines two specific targets as it relates to reducing the incidence of HIV and AIDS and improving the quality of life for persons living with this disease. SVG HAS THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF HIV PERSONSStatistics from the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS has revealed that St. Vincent has the highest number of people living with HIV and AIDS in the Eastern Caribbean. This as the report stated, that some 800 people are infected with the sexually transmitted disease. Statistics from the UNAIDS Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS also revealed that more than 500 people are living with HIV / AIDS in Saint Lucia, representing the second highest figure in the Eastern Caribbean. These findings were revealed by Latin America and Caribbean Regional Support Team Director for UNAIDS Dr. Cesar Nunez who provided data from the UNAIDS Caribbean Summary of the AIDS epidemic in 2015. The remaining Eastern Caribbean countries have approximately 150-300 persons living with HIV and two percent of the people living with HIV in the Caribbean reside in the Eastern Caribbean. St. Kitts and Nevis and Dominica are closest to achieving the 90-90-90 targets, reporting fewer than 20 new HIV infections and fewer than 10 AIDS-related deaths annually over the last five years. Through the widespread expansion of anti retroviral treatment for mothers living with HIV, there have been dramatic declines in HIV transmission to children. Cuba led the world by becoming the first country to be validated last year by the World Health Organization as having eliminated this form of HIV transmission. St. Vincent has made leaps and bounds in the mother to child transmission. |
