Issued: 6:00 P.M Monday, 10th July, 2017.The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services is monitoring the progress of a tropical wave over the Central Atlantic with its axis near 32/33W as of 2:00 p.m this afternoon. Based on model guidance, some slow development is possible over the next few days as the tropical wave moves westward at 17 to 23 mph towards the southern Lesser Antilles. Regardless of development, moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds are likely to spread across St. Vincent and the Grenadines by late Thursday night into early Friday as the wave moves across the region. Marine conditions are also expected to deteriorate around the same period. The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services will continue to monitor this disturbance and provide the necessary updates.
